Dalung Threatens “War” With NFF Over Siasia’s Unpaid Salaries

By Johnny Edward:

Nigeria’s Minister for Youth and Sports Solomon Dalung has instructed the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Football Federation Dr Mohammed Sanusi to pay the U-23
national team coach Samson Siasia his outstanding salaries of five months, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Siasia who led the Olympic team to a bronze medal finish at the Rio Olympics paid Dalung a courtesy visit on Monday in his office in Abuja to officially inform him
that his contract with the NFF has ended.
“Please pay him his five months’ salaries. They said he has resigned but he just said that his contract expired after the Olympics,” Dalung said in a media
release signed by his media aide Nneka Ikem Anibeze.
“His contract expired but you are owing him five months’ salaries and you have gone to employ a foreign coach and will pay him in dollars. It means you don’t like
yourselves and nobody will sympathize with you.
“Please spare me the stress of talking about this salary issue or going to war with you on it. Please pay him and other coaches their outstanding salaries.”
Meanhwhile, Sanusi responded stating that efforts were already being made to pay the coaches their salaries.
“We have held meetings and we are waiting for the money to drop. The money is already there in our account but we need to regularize the TSA procedures before we can claim the money. We are almost through with the process. Once that is concluded, we will pay them,” Sanusi assured.

NFF are not really encouraging for our football stars to go out there to make we Nigerians proud

  • This is wickedness. When you are unable to pay the ingenous coaches their salaries, yet you brought in someone whose one month salary can pay all the other coaches salaries for three months. The minister too has just suddenly
woken up from dream to recognized the U23 coach because he won the only bronze for Nigeria. If he had not won anything, would he have sided him. Who is fooling who. We know all their antics. Have paid the dead coaches’ ( Keshi and Amodu ) salaries?

Dalung the minister is the man i have ever seen as a practical illustration of unstable person, man or woman. He is not a quality for public figure…speaking from bothe sides of his mouth. When he ought to have resigned his position gently as a minister for disappointing and embarrassing the nation…too shameful!!!. same him, never knew Dream team camped in Atlanta, same him went to apologized, same him said our local coaches are too sentimental thats why NFF is rooting for foreign coach..same him said he is not aware they had employed a foreign coach.where are those medals he said we would atleast win? shit!!!!
