Del Bosque: No Liverpool Player Good Enough To Make Real Madrid Team

Former Real Madrid manager Vincent Del Bosque has claimed that no Liverpool player would get into the current Madrid team as both sides prepare to face off in the Champions League final on Saturday.

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Saido Mane and Roberto Firmino have been in fantastic form form Liverpool in Europe this year.

Salah in particular has been in sparking form for the Reds in the competition, scoring 10 goals in 12 apperances.

But  Del Bosque does not believe the Egypt international or any of his teammates would make Zinedine Zidane’s starting XI.

“Real Madrid have a great squad, and it’s the best club in Europe right now,” the 67-year-old, who won the Champions League and LaLiga twice apiece during his reign at the Santiago Bernabeu, told Spanish outlet COPE.

“They have to ratify that on Saturday. Real Madrid will beat Liverpool 4-1.

“I cannot find a single Liverpool player that improves Real Madrid, [not even] Salah.

“[Gareth] Bale and [Karim] Benzema are very good. Benzema is a great player too, sometimes [he can go] cold, but he has given an extraordinary performance, and Cristiano Ronaldo makes them all better.”

That scoreline is too good to be true. I don’t think the margin will be that wide.

  • liverpool is fit for the trophy, cos a termite can kill an elephant. So that’s gonna be case

  • Del Bosque, make your mouth bend there! Bale is so good, yet he couldn’t qualify Wales to the World Cup; and Benzema is too much yet he couldn’t even make the French standby team for Russia 2018. We shall see on Saturday.

You will eat your words. Victor up there you they clap for that arrogant comment. Yes, it will be 4-1, but to Liverpool. Roma knocked out Barcelona, who are Real Madrid’s husband in La Liga. You think Madrid will make it 3 in a row? Liverpool may not be dominant in the EPL, but when it comes to the UCL, no EPL team can stand them. Victor, I baptize you in red confetti and say, You Will Never Walk Alone! Leave am! 🙂

  • This is going to be another 2005 titanic clash between Liverpool and Ac Milan, David and Goliath, from 3-0 down to finally lift the trophy, we shall see comes Saturday, WE WILL NEVER WALK ALONE, INSHALLAH

He is 67 yrs old and a Real Madrid fan. You know how old people are. They cannot follow up with what is currently in the news. Like Arsene Wenger, 67yrs, who lost touch with the modern way of football. Everyone has a right to predict scores. After all someone predicted Germany 7-1 Brazil and it came true. What concerned me is the bogus statement that no Liverpool player will make Real Madrid team. Is he really listening to himself? Maybe he is misquoted. Salah will be the main man if Real Madrid buys him today. Ronaldo is a weakened person. Finished. Salah is better than all Real Madrid player. Mane, Firmino and the entire players will cope well we’ll if employed by Real Madrid today. Salah will be the next FIFA World footballer of the season and Ballon d’orb. As for the scores it is a tight one but I feel Real Madrid will win. I will advice Liverpool to try and stretch the game to extra time and see how the penalty shootout pans out.

It’s Real Madrid 4, Liverpool 2. The best Liverpool can do is get to the final and the only way they can win the trophy is if Mercelo who is attacking minded continue going forward leaving space for Salah to operate in counter attack. Cut off supply of balls to Salah,  Firmino and Mane and normal  Real Madrid compact build up,and the cup returns to Spain for keeps. We are tired of seeing this cup and it must be retained by Madrid and replaced by UEFA.
