France coach Didier Deschamps has praised his team for securing all three points in a 2-1 win against Romania in the opening game of the UEFA European Championship.
France went ahead through Olivier Giroud who headed in Dimitri Payet's cross.
Some minutes later, Nicolae Stancu made it 1-1 from the penalty spot following a foul by Patrice Evra.
But with two minutes left in regulation time, Payet's stunner secured the win for the hosts.
Speaking after the match, Deschamps hailed the Romanians for their performance.
"We had a bit of trouble letting our hair down, but we got our reward at the end."
"I made sure we played to win, with four attacking players on the pitch at the end."
"The Romanian team isn't easy to play against. They defend well. It's good to have won."
France's next game comes up on Wednesday against debutants Albania.
