Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco says he is not thinking about his own future and is focused on improving his side’s fortunes.
Di Francesco is under heavy pressure and the fact his side came from behind to defeat Genoa 3-2 at the Stadio Olimpico, could have kept him in a job, at least for now.
Even so, the coach says Roma’s results are what matter, not what the future holds for him. “I’m not here to think about myself, but for the good of Roma,” he told reporters. “I’m calm and I’m always looking to give what I can, it’s normal that others make their evaluations.”
The fans again showed their displeasure as Genoa took the lead on two occasions and Di Francesco admits they need to improve at the back.
“We don’t have much time to work,” Di Francesco said. “We’ve worked a lot on set pieces. But a lot of people are suffering from the pressure of the place.
“On the pitch there are men, not just players who earn €2-3 million. This win will give us faith, but we must improve defensively.”Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
