The 31-year-old had no real trouble dealing with the big serves of the American and managed to break his opponent in the fifth game of the first set, and seventh of the second to wrap up 6-4 6-3 victory.
Djokovic was delighted with the way he handled the Isner serve and the way he played in general. “I had three breaks of serve of John which is sometimes ‘mission impossible’ but I managed to be at right place at the right time,” said Djokovic.
“I held serve well, I backed it up from the baseline, I played very solid and didn’t give him many opportunities.”
Next up is a clash with Alexander Zverev and Djokovic is expecting a tough match.
“I’m feeling fit physically and mentally,” said Djokovic. “I’m looking forward to that match. I played him recently in Shanghai, but wasn’t at his best. I expect him to play better than he did in Shanghai in two days.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
