Dolphins, Sharks Get N400m For Players’ Salaries

By Adeboye Amosu:

Completesportsnigeria.com can reveal exclusively that the Rivers State government have released the sum of N400m to offset the oustanding salaries of the state owned sides Dolphins, Sharks and Rivers Angels.

Completesportsnigeria.com  scooped from a reliable source within the club who pleaded anonymity that management of the three  clubs have received payment of the big sum.

"I can confirm to you that the new government led by Governor Nyesom Wike have released N400m to settle the salaries of players of the three clubs owned by the state,"the source  told completesportsnigeria.com.

"What is now important is for the management of these clubs to be sincere and spend the money judiciously.
"The players have suffered  enough and it is time for them to get their pay."

The players of Dolphins and Sharks recently refused to train for a week to protest the non-payment of their salaries.

The League Management Company acting on  a petition filed  by Dolphins' player Emeka Atuloma  on  Monday mandated the management of the club to pay the players' salaries within 60 days or risk losing six points.
