Borussia Dortmund are being linked with a future swoop for Italian outfit Genoa’s in-form striker Krzysztof Piatek. The Bundesliga side have been alerted by the 23-year-old Poland international’s scintillating form so far in Serie A this term as he followed up a four-goal haul in the Coppa Italia on his debut by scoring in five successive league games.
That surpassed Andriy Shevchenko’s previous record of scoring in four successive games when he was at Milan in 1999 and Piatek is now being eyed by some of Europe’s big guns, despite him only moving to Genoa in the summer from Cracovia Krakow for just 4.5million euros.

He has added another Serie A goal to his tally since and is the only player in all the European leagues to sit on double figures.
Dortmund officials are believed to be keeping tabs on Piatek and reports suggest a big-money bid could be forthcoming as early as January.
