Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dosu Joseph has predicted a tough encounter in Saturday’s Emirates Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester United billed for Wembley Stadium, while rooting for his compatriot Victor Moses, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Both teams have met twice this past season with each side winning their home fixtures.
Dosu in his analysis of the final stated that the first team to score will stand a great chance of winning the final.
“Chelsea should be hungry to win this final on the basis of their poor performance in their last two league games,” Dosu told CSN.
“If they can score first the job will be achieved half way.
“But the game will be won in the midfield. If Conte adopts a 3-5-2 defensively the can hurt United but if he opens carelessly with Bakayoko, then it will be very tough.”
Dosu also hopes Chelsea wins because of his compatriot, Victor Moses.
“He lost the last final to Arsenal and I hope he is lucky this time,” the former Reggina of Italy goalkeeper, who won the Atlanta 1996 Olympics football gold with the Nigerian team, told CSN.
