Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo could not help Changchun Yatai halt their recent poor run in the Chinese Super League (CSL) as they lost 2-0 at home to Beijing Guoan on Saturday.
It was Changchun Yatai’s third straight league defeat and back-to-back home defeat after losing to Mikel Obi’s Tianjin Teda last weekend.
Jonathan Soriano gave Beijing Guoan the lead when he struck in the 16th minute to make it 1-0.
And in the 70th minute, Cedric Bakambu, who is in the Democratic Republic of Congo squad that will face the Super Eagles in a friendly on May 28, scored the second goal for Beijing Guoan.
Changchun Yatai are now 13th on 11 points in the 16-team CSL table.
Ighalo, who recently won April Player of the Month in the Chinese League, featured in his 11th league game against Beijing Guoan and has scored seven goals.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
