Former Dragons head coach Lyn Jones is to bring his Russia side to Wales to take on the region on November 16. Jones was appointed Russia head coach in August 2018 after previously being in charge at Rodney Parade, leaving his director of rugby role in April 2016.
Russia, who have qualified for the 2019 World Cup where they will meet Scotland, Ireland, hosts Japan and a play-off winner in Pool A, are one of two national teams to face the Dragons during the autumn.
The region will also host Asia Rugby Championship holders Hong Kong at Ebbw Vale on Monday, October 29.
Hong Kong are bidding to become the 20th and final qualifier for next year’s Rugby World Cup in Japan and face a four-team tournament in France in November alongside Canada, Germany and Kenya.
And there are also connections to the Hong Kong set-up, with former Dragons assistant head coach and Newport player Dai Rees their general manager of rugby performance, while ex-Dragons coach Leigh Jones is also involved.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
