Speaking at the post-match conference on Friday, D’Tigers coach Alex Nwora said the match against Uganda was tough for his team but hopeful they will get better against Rwanda.
“We had the first game, it was tough and good, the tournament is just starting and hopefully, it gets better,” he said.
“Our next game is against Rwanda and we are hoping to do more to win. It is not going to be easy and our players
know that but we are here for a purpose and that is the World Cup ticket and we are going to be focused.”
Meanwhile, Rwanda defeated host nation Mali 74-70 in their opening game of the qualifiers on Friday.
