By Bamidele Boluwaji: Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team D’Tigress coach Sam Vincent says he is looking forward to a successful 2018 after helping the team to qualify for the next FIBA Women’s World Cup in Spain, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The American, also led the senior men’s team D’Tigers to the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan, steered the Nigerian ladies to FIBA AfroBasket success in Mali earlier this year.
“We had a great moment this year and we are happy and looking forward to a successful 2018,” Vincent told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We are hoping to do more and achieve more next year with the support of everybody.
“I must thank all members of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF and other citizens for their support.
“I am here monitoring the players and I am happy they are not doing badly in the season.”
The FIBA Women’s World Cup will hold in September next year.
