Currently the number two contender, Durodola is expected to take on the winner between the champion Grogory Drozd from Russia and number one contender, South Africa's Ilunga Makabu.

The 2008 Olympic boxer, told Completesportsnigeria.com that lack of support is threatening to derail his chances of bringing the WBC cruiserweight title to Nigeria.

"Lack of enough support is a problem I have. The only support I am getting is from the Nigerian Police, especially from the Inspector General of Police.

"I expected a lot of people to come out and support me so that I will be able to bring the belt to Nigeria," Durodola said.

Durodola also states that another problem he was facing is getting a proper sparring partner.

"My training is going on fine, but the only problem is that we don't have good sparring here in Nigeria. I need a very good boxer that will prepare me well. Aside that, every other thing is okay."

Durodola added: "To prepare for the fight, I need a couple of fights to warm up, I have not fought anybody. That's why my manager advised that I should be warming up before the world title fight.

"Right now, we are waiting for my manager to give us update about the fight. But he has advised me that I should just keep training because any fight can come up anytime."
