By James Agberebi:
Argentina forward Paulo Dybala is already looking beyond the group stage at the 2018 World Cup, stating he hopes the Albiceleste avoid a round of 16 clash against France.
To get to the round of 16, Argentina must progress from Group D that has Nigeria, Croatia and debutants Iceland.
The top two teams from Group D will face the top two sides from Group C that has France, Denmark, Australia and Peru.
“They (France) have a team with very important players and young players with a big future in their national team. It would be better to avoid them,” Dybala, who won the Serie A and Coppa Italia with Juventus last season, told TyC Sports.
“If you want to get to the final, a lot of the time you have to play against the best.
“Brazil, Germany, Spain or France are the teams that will be at the top and they have been showing that for several years now.”
He went on to eulogise inspirational Argentina skipper Lionel Messi.
“I always had Leo (Messi) as an idol,” he said.
“I always admired him and I continue to admire him for what he does, for what he did and for what he will continue to do.
“He’s an incredible footballer, one you try to watch and learn even the smallest details.
“Watching him play is incredible but I’m also lucky enough to be able to watch him train every day and that’s even more (extra).”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
