The Super Eagles of Nigeria arrived the O. R. Tambo International Airport Airport , Gauteng – the outskirt of Johannesburg, in the early hours of Friday morning beaming with stronger confidence of accomplishing their mission in Saturday’s 2019 AFCON qualifier against the Bafana Bafana, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Central defender, Kenneth Omeruo speaking to CSN shortly after the team’s arrival in Johannesburg.
reiterates that the Super Eagles are in South Africa to take all the three points when both teams clash at the FNB Stadium.
Nigeria currently lead Group E with nine points a point ahead of their hosts, South Africa and will qualify for the continent’s biggest showpiece next year if they record a draw from the game.
Libya are third in Group E with four points while Seychelles are bottom of the table with just a point.
Omeruo who is looking forward to his 42nd international appearance for nigeria on Saturday is banking on the team’s great squad to make a success of their revenge mission following the Bafana’s 2-0 win in the reverse fixture last year.
“We are here for a win because our aim is to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations,” Omeruo said.
“They are a good side and they have a good record against us from the last two games but we will be up for the battle.
“I have confidence in the team and we will not disappoint Nigerians.”
