Only five members of that squad are in the present contingent that flew into Nelspruit on Saturday morning.

Kenneth Omeruo, Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi, Azubuike Egwuekwe and Godfrey Oboabona are the players.

Meanwhile, executive committee member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Felix Anyansi-Agwu, said the Super Eagles will be gunning for a win over Bafana Bafana on Sunday.

“We are here (Nelspruit) for serious business. No match between Nigeria and South Africa is a friendly. They always put all their effort into it and that is why we also have to do the same.

“The defeat to Uganda in Uyo was quite painful, and the players know the only way Nigerians can forgive them for that mishap is to defeat the Bafana Bafana,” he said.

South Africa has never defated Nigeria in a competitive game at senior level.
