Elderson Echiejile has insisted that the Super Eagles will not underrate their hosts Zambia in Sunday's 2018 World Cup qualifiers in Ndola, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Super Eagles are unbeaten in their last three games after their failure to qualify for next year’s African Nations Cup.
And Echiejile who is poised to make his 57th international appearance for the team believes that there is enough experience in the team to begin their quest of a Russia 2018 ticket on a winning note.
"There's plenty of talent and experience in the squad and the manager has plenty of experience too.
“We'll work together and hopefully we will win and to end our poor results in away games," the Standard Liege defender told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We are certainly not writing off our hosts but we are confident we can go on a run and get to Russia despite our tough group."
The 28-year-old also urged Nigerian fans to support the team in their bid to achieve greater things.
He added: “The fans have been awesome and I want them to support us all through this. We will deliver.”
