Nigeria Football Federation plan to unveil their new kit sponsor and launch it with the international friendly match between Super Eagles and the Brazil national team in March.
Officials sources disclosed to Complete Sports that the NFF were on the verge of reaching an agreement with either of the two kit companies they have been negotiating with
Our source also revealed that the federation is planning to unveil and launch the new sponsor and the kits when the Super Eagles engage Brazil in an international friendly in Uyo in March.
When asked to confirm if the match with Brazil will still hold, NFF Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi said the federation is planning for the game slated for the Akwa Ibom International stadium in March.
He said the federation have been in contact with its Brazilian counterparts and that nothing has changed about the date and venue of the high grade match.
On the kit sponsorship, he said that it does appear like Adidas are no longer keen on renewing the contract with Nigeria and so the NFF have moved on by discussing with other kit manufacturing companies.
“We are in talks with a couple of kit manufacturing companies and I must tell you that we have almost reached an agreement with one of the likely sponsors and we shall make it known to Nigerians as soon as we tidy things.
“The truth is that we don’t want to rush into a contract that will not benefit us, but Nigerians should be rest assured that in the next few weeks, we shall announce a new kit sponsor and fix a date for the unveiling” he stated.
