The Super Eagles arrived Campinas in high spirits from Cuiaba after their game against Bosnia, as they set out to journey to Porto Alegre, venue of their game against Argentina on Wednesday.
The Eagles, according to team’s media officer, Ben Alaiya will be travelling to Porto Alegre on Monday morning. They are scheduled to depart Campinas at 11.30am.
Stephen Keshi’s team which defeated Bosnia 1-0 to step closer to the Round of 16 stages have been receiving the goodwill of Nigerians based in the fun-loving city of Campinas.
“There are plenty of Nigerians here and the team are encouraged by that support and the boys have resolved to do well for the country. They know the importance of this game.
“On the availability of defender Godfrey Oboabona, Alaiya gave a refreshingly positive news about the Turkey-based central defender.
“Oboabona has not fully recovered from the stitches on his feet but he should have full training with the rest of the squad on Monday or latest Tuesday,” Alaiya informedCompletesportsnigeria.com.
The Argentina versus Nigeria game will be played at 5pm local time.
