Top Super Eagles stars were in attendance at the inaugural edition of the Complete Sports Celebrity Workout on Saturday (today) reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The event took place at The Palms Lekki Car Park.
Brown Ideye, Elderson Echiejile, Stephen Odey and Osas Okoro graced the event, (Complete Sports Celebrity Workout) aimed at educating the public on the importance of healthy living through exercising.
Also in attendance at the event were Azeez Ladipo, the captain of the Nigerian Rugby National team, Dominic Mudabai, the 2007 winner of the Gulder Ultimate Search who is also the fitness trainer.
The event began with Mudabai putting the participants through some stretches and their paces.
He also drilled the participants on squats, hip drive and lunges with the DJ on ground spicing up the exercise session with good music.
“It’s always good to keep fit and I am particularly impressed with the initiative of Complete Sport in organizing this so that people will know the importance of healthy living through engaging in exercise,” Ideye said during his remark at the event.
The Tianjin TEDA also urged the management of Complete Communications Limited not to make the event a one off.
“It was well packaged and I don’t expect anything less from one of the leading sports dailies in the country but please make it annually.”
Echiejile who received an award for his commitment to grassroots development also lauded the event adding that the Complete Sports Celebrity Workout will further enlighten the public on the need to always stay fit.
“I’m happy to be part of the inaugural event which will help educate the public on the essence of staying fit always. I will always give my support to events like this.”
Odey who has bagged ten goals so far for FC Zurich believes the event will help enlighten the public more.
Ideye and Echiejile also launched the new Complete Sports online domain name at the event.

The Group Managing Director of Complete Communications Limited, Alhaji Mumini Alao was also presented with an award of excellence at the event.
The Manager, Digital Marketing Division of Complete Sports, Solomon Ojeagbase was also in attendance.
The event was anchored by Channels TV award winning broadcast journalist, Austin Okon Akpan.
Complete Sports newspaper has been in existence for about three decades.
