The Golden Eaglets will face the Amajimbos of South Africa in the semi-final of the Africa U-17 Championship taking place in Niger Republic.
South Africa defeated Cameroon 3-1 on Sunday in their last group game to finish second in group B and set a date with the Eaglets in Wednesday’s first semi-final.
The other semi-final comes up on Thursday and it will be between group B runner-up Guinea and Mali who progressed to the lat four thanks to a slim 1-0 win over Cote d’Ivoire.
The Eaglets made sure of their place in Chile after defeating Zambia 3-1 on Saturday.
Meanwhile, all four semi-finalists have qualified for this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup taking place in Chile.
At the last CAF U-17 championship held in Morocco, Cote d’Ivoire defeated the Eaglets on penalties in the final.
