Eaglets Relocate To Katsina For World Cup

The Golden Eaglets on Saturday relocated to Katsina to commence close camping ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Football Federation on their official website.
The World Cup holds in Chile from 17 October to 8 November. Nigeria are in the same group as Chile, USA and Croatia.

Head coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, led 35 players and eight officials to the North Western state.

Amuneke thanked management and staff of Serob Legacy Hotel for accommodating the team throughout their camping in Abuja.

“We want to thank you all for making our stay here pleasurable. But we have to leave now for Katsina to continue our preparation.

“By the grace of God, we will meet again and have cause to celebrate what God is going to do for us,” he said.

On Friday, the Eaglets played their last friendly game in Abuja against Santos Academy, winning 3-0.

Meanwhile, according to the Eaglets Team Administrator, Tayo Egbaiyelo, the team will be accommodated at Doubletree by Hilton, for their first game against USA.

They will put up residence at the Sheraton Miramar Hotel and Convention Centre in Vina del Mar for the game against host Chile.

And for the game against Croatia, they will head to Coquimbo Hotel De La Hahia.
