Super Eagles left-back Elderson Echiejile is brimming with confidence ahead of the start of the Turkish Super Lig season, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Echiejile joined newly promoted Sivasspor on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco during the off season and believes that the club will not be pushovers when they face Akhisar Belediye GS 12 of August in their opening league match.
“I’m looking forward to the new season with full confidence. My battery is well charged from the training sessions here in Turkey,” the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner with the Super Eagles told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“The terrain is different but we will survive in the league.”
Echiejile is one of the numerous Nigerian players who will be featuring in the Turkish top flight next season.
Other Nigerian players there include Imoh Ezekiel (Konyaspor), William Troost-Ekong (Bursaspor), Sunday Mba, Azubuike Okechukwu, Sincere Seth (Malatayspor), Emem Eduok (Kasimpasa), Ogenyi Onazi (Trabzonspor), Raheem Lawal (Kayserispor) and Aminu Umar (Osmanlıspor).
