Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile is confident his French side, Monaco will reach the next round of the UEFA Champions League competition after being drawn against Benfica, Zenith St Petersburg and Bayer Leverkusen in group C.
The Nigeria international who is expected to feature for his side in tomorrow’s home clash against Lille at the Parc des Princes told Complete Sports exclusively that he is excited featuring in the tournament again.
“It’s a great experience for me again,” begins the Super Eagles defender Echiejile last featured in the competition for SC Braga in the 2012/2013 where he played three games.
“Of course there is a very good chance of progressing to the next round,” he told Complete Sports.
“So, all we can do now is to play to our strengths because every game in the Champions League will be tough.”
Monaco finished second in Ligue 1 last season but are currently placed 17th on the log after three games.
