Echiejile Returns To Training Ahead Monaco Vs Guingamp

By Johnny Edward:

AS Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile is back in training and fit to feature in Sunday’s home clash against Guingamp in the Ligue 1 the Super Eagles star has exclusively informed Complete Sports.

Echiejile missed his side’s 1-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen after suffering a hip injury on international duty with the Super Eagles.

But the defender trained at Monaco’s Training Complex on Thursday morning and is in contention for a starting place.

“I trained very well today (Thursday) and I feel really great,” he told Complete Sports.
On his side poor form in the league, the 26-year old former SC Braga star was optimistic of his side returning to winning ways.

“The Champions League will be a catalyst for us and I’m optimistic about that,” he said.

“It was a good way to begin the #UefaChampionsLeague and a great result for us,” he added.

Monaco, have struggled in the French Ligue 1 this season and are second from bottom of the table, will hope for a good result at home against Guingamp who are two points ahead.

Wish you a speedy recovery bro……please stop over lapping and forgetting you are a defender……the Congolese equalizer was your fault… put Omeruo under pressure unnecessarily because of your too much over lapping

  • Is high time we tell these guys I mean the super eagles players that they are all average players. Even with the best coach in the world is hard to get a positve result from them. They all need to step up their game both in the national team and in their various club sides.
