Super Eagles and Monaco of France defender, Elderson Echiejile has expressed his readiness for his side’s opening match of the French Ligue 1 season against Lorient.
The African cup of Nations winner is banking on Principality Club impressive showing in the Emirates Cup to help them achieve greater things this season.
“Can’t wait for Monaco`s opening game against Lorient tomorrow [today] at the Stade Louis II,” he begins.
“The Emirate Cup was great, the two game was awesome. “Hoping the Cup competition would help us have a memorable season.
Monaco were runners up last season after losing out of the top spot to fellow big spenders Paris Saint Germain, as both teams qualified for this season champions league football.
Elderson will hope for more playing time in this campaign under new coach Leornado Jardin, after playing second fiddle to Robert Kurzawa last season.
