By Johnny Edward: Super Eagles left-back Elderson Echiejile posted a stellar performance in pre-season for Monaco who drew 3-3 against Swiss side FC Sion at the Stade St Marc, Bagnes on Saturday.
Echiejile who was making his third appearance in pre-season for the Les Douges in the encounter played for 63 minutes before being replaced in the game in which Monaco surrendered the lead thrice.
Konate Moussa's 50th minute goal cancelled out Valère Germain' s first half opener.
Radamel Falcao gave Monaco a 2-1 lead from the penalty spot in three minutes later when Echiejile was fouled in the box in one of his surging runs down the left flank.
Akolo Chadrac made it 2-2 in the 72nd minute before Adama Traore scored what looked like the winner in the 82nd minute for Monaco.
But an own goal from Jemerson Nascimento ensured both teams earned a share of the spoils from the game.
Monaco will face Sporting Lisbon, FC Basel and Zenit Saint-Petersburg in their subsequent games in pre-season in Switzerland before returning to France.
