After a 10-day training stint in Austria, the French club of Elderson Echiejile AS Monaco will step up pre-season training in Colombia and Miami in the United States of America.
Elderson and his French club will depart on Thursday for Colombia, where they are expected to play a test game against a top local club during their week-long stay there.
They will also face another Colombian club in Miami in the second leg of their pre-season.
Colombia World Cup star James Rodriguez features for Monaco.
It will be a return to the US for Nigeria international Elderson, who also trained with his country’s squad ahead of the 2014 World Cup before he was dropped on account of injury.
Monaco will feature in the UEFA Champions League in the new season after they finished behind champions Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1 last season.
Former Sporting Braga coach Leonardo Jardim has taken over the big-spending club from Claudio Ranieri.
