Echiejile’s Monaco, Ezekiel’s Anderlecht End It 1-1

 –Ambrose, Onazi Also in Europa League action

Nigerian duo of Elderson Echiejile and Imoh Ezekiel, were in action for Monaco and Anderlecht respectively, in a Europa League Group J clash which ended 1-1 at the Constant Vanden Stock  Brussels on Thursday, reports.

Echiejile who was on from the start, was later replaced by Stephan El Shaarawy on 61 minutes. Echiejile was yellow-carded on 45 minutes.

Ezekiel was introduced for Youri Tielemans, for Anderlecht, with three minutes remaining.

 Guillaaume Gillet hit the target on 11 minutes to give RSC Anderlecht 1-0 advantage. Lacina Traore later  scored for Monaco on 85 minutes, and it ended 1-1  in Brussels.

In group G, Ogenyi Onazi saw action for 90 minutes as Lazio forced Dnipro to a 1-1 draw.

His Nigerian counterpart, Michael Babatunde, was not listed for the match.

Efe Ambrose featured for Celtic in a group A tie away to Ajax which ended 2-2. Ambrose replaced Mikael Lustig in the 69th minute.

In group D, Paul Onuachu was brought in for Pione Sisto on 81minutes in the Midtjylland's 1-1 home draw against Legia Warszawa.
