–Ex-Eagles coach confident Nigeria will qualify
Former Nigeria international Austin Eguavoen has predicted a difficult match for the Super Eagles against Sudan in Khartoum, saying playing away is not always easy but confident the African champions will scale through.
In a chat with Complete Sports, Eguavoen stated that the double header against Sudan are must win games.
“The players should approach the two games with winning mentality. Already, we are at disadvantage and we need to win the two matches to gain back some of the points we lost,” say the former Eagles handler.
The Eagles will leave for Khartoum today for the make or mar clash with Sudan.
Nigeria is third on the table with one point, behind leaders Congo and South Africa who occupy the second spot.
The Eagles failed to qualify for the 2012 edition but made amends when they picked one of the tickets for the 2013 edition which they won.
