Eguma to Shore Up Dolphins Attack

By Sab Osuji:

Dolphins head coach, Stanley Eguma believes the solution to his team's problems in the campaign would be to acquire more strikers, Completesportsnigeria.com has been informed.

Eguma is not pleased that his team is not scoring enoughgoals in the campaign.
Dolphins have scored 10 goals in 11 Glo Nigeria Professional Football League games so far.

They have similarly conceded 11 goals, a situation the former Enyimba assistant gaffer reckons is not good for the club's aspiration in the league.

The former U-23 national team assistant coach during Austin Eguavoen's reign discloses that he will enter the transfer market to shop for strikers once the mid season transfer window flings open.

“We have to work harder, especially on the psyche of the players but you can see that we lost lots of chances to score in that game," Eguma opened up  apparently referring to Sunday'1-1 draw with city rivals, Sharks.

“We have actually not gotten over the loss of Emem Eduok and we are looking out to sign one or two strikers as soon as the window opens because of our blunt attack,” Eguma says.

Dolphins attacking problem was further compounded following the departure of Christian Pyagbara.

The 2014 CHAN Eagles forward switched camp to Dolphins from Sharks at the start of the season on loan, but the Blue Angels, as Sharks are called, objected to the transfer  insisting they cannot sell him to their rivals.

"Even the loan arrangement did not go down well with them (Sharks). We dragged it but matters were not helped by the player's manager, so Sharks withdrew him," Eguma tells completesportsnigeria.com.

Dolphins will be on the road to Ifeanyi Ubah FC on Wednesday in a match day 12 fixture.
