–Eagles defender yet to make decision on future
Super Eagles defender, Azubuike Egwuekwe, has confirmed that he has several offers from clubs outside Nigeria, but states that he is yet to agree terms with any of them.
The Warri Wolves defender says he’s aware of several offers that have been made for him, and will make a decision soon, but adds that he still remains a player of Warri Wolves at the moment.
“Of course I have offers from different countries but I have not concluded with any of them yet. For now I remain a Warri Wolves player, but at the end of the month I may not be a Warri Wolves’ player again,” he said.
And speaking about the rumoured interest from English Premier League side, West Ham United, the 25-year old says he is yet to speak to anyone about a move to London, but says he will know more when he returns to Nigeria from Dubai.
“I don’t know if I’ll be going to West Ham, because I have not discussed to anyone about it, but maybe when I get to Nigeria I will know more,” Egwuekwe posited.
The central defender is presently in Dubai with Nigeria’s second string squad for a tour of the United Arab Emirates. They play Yemen in an international friendly on Saturday.
