Egypt have called-up Ali Lofti as replacement for the injured veteran goalkeeper, Essam El- Hadary, ahead of the second leg of their 2017 Africa Cup of Nation qualifying tie against Nigeria, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
El-Hadary sustained a muscle injury during the Pharaohs' first training session at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Thursday which effectively ruled him out the game against the Super Eagles.
The 26-year-old Lofti made his debut for the North Africans in a friendly game against Malawi in June 2015.
The Pharaohs maintained top position in Group G after a late Mohamed Salah strike earned them a share of the spoils against the Eagles.
The return fixture will be played on Tuesday at the Borg El- Arab Stadium.
