The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have revealed that they are yet to receive any formal notification from Confederation of African Football or the Nigerian Football Federation regarding the postponement of next month's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria which was earlier scheduled for 23rd March in Kaduna.
A Nigerian Football Federation official recently told Completesportsnigeria.com that the first leg of the two matches has been rescheduled for 26 March in Kaduna and the second leg for 29 March in Egypt.
"No official letters have been received yet regarding the Nigeria-Egypt game's rescheduling and we'll announce when we get confirmation," the association board member Ehab Lehitah said on the EFA official website.
The Super Eagles host the Pharaohs of Egypt in a crucial clash in Kaduna with the second leg on 29 March in Borg El-Arab but some reports suggest that the EFA wants to move the game to Cairo stadium.
"Egypt will start a training camp ahead of the qualifiers on 23 February, four days before they play Burkina Faso friendly in Borg El-Arab Stadium, Alexandria,"
Lehitah added.
Egypt who are bidding to reach the Nations Cup for the first time in five years are currently leading Nigeria with two points in Group G following their wins over Tanzania and Chad.
