–Ujah, Ikande, Ogbeche, Lawal on target in Europe Mikel, Obasi, Onazi benched

Mikel Obi (CHELSEA); Victor Anichebe, Brown Ideye (WEST BROM): Nigerian striker, Victor Anichebe, played the last 12 minutes of West Brom’s 2-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday. It was Anichebe’s seventh appearance for the Baggies this term while his compatriot Ideye, who was on the substitutes’ bench, has played thrice.


Meanwhile Mikel Obi was not listed for the match. Mikel has played six EPL matches this season totalling 107 minutes of football.

Hope Akpan (READING): Super Eagles midfielder Hope Akpan missed Reading’s 2-1 loss to Cardiff City due to a dislocated shoulder. The box-to-box midfielder suffered the horror injury during Super Eagles’ 2-0 win at Congo on Saturday, 15th November. Akpan has seen action 12 times so far for Reading this season.

Sammy Ameobi (NEWCASTLE): In-form Nigerian winger, Sammy Ameobi, played for 90 minutes and provided an assist for in Newcastle’s 1-0 win against QPR on Saturday. The 22 year old has played eight games and has scored once for Newcastle who has won five straight EPL matches.

Anthony Ujah (COLOGNE): Nigerian forward Anthony Ujah bagged Cologne’s consolation goal in 58 minute of his side’s 2-1 home defeat to Hertha Berlin on Saturday. He now has eight goals in all competitions with Cologne, recording 15 points from 12 games.

Seyi Olajengbesi (SANDHAUSEN): Former Julius Berger central defender, Seyi Olajengbesi played the entire duration of Sandhausen’s 3-0 defeat to Heidenheim on Friday. The ex-Super Eagle player has a goal from 14 I matches this season.

Chinedu Obasi (SCHALKE 04): Chinedu Obasi did not even make the substitutes bench as Schalke defeated Wolfsburg 3-2 on Saturday. He has made four Bundesliga starts this term.
Leon Balogun (DARMSTADT): Super Eagles one cap defender, Leon Balogun, made a cameo appearance on his return for Darmstadt in their 0-0 draw with Kaiserslautern. Sunday Mba (CA BASTIA): Nigeria’s 2013 AFCON hero Sunday Mba replaced Mohamed Benyahia in the 78th minute in Bastia’s 1-1 draw with Fréjus St-Raphaël on Friday. Mba is yet to score in 10 league games for Bastia who are battling to beat the drop to the fourth tier of French league.

Elderson Echiejile (MONACO): Super Eagles defender, Elderson Echiejile, played all 90 minutes in Monaco’s 2-2 home draw with Caen. It was Echiejile’s fourth start in French Ligue 1 so far this season, scoring one goal.

Nnamdi Oduamadi (CROTONE): Nnamdi Oduamadi was an unused substitute for Crotone in their 1-1 draw with Virtus Lanciano on Saturday.

Ogenyi Onazi (LAZIO): Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, was an unused substitute for Lazio who lost 3-0 at home against Serie A leaders Juventus on Saturday. Onazi has played seven Serie A games and has been booked twice.

Efe Ambrose (CELTIC): Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose was a half-time substitute in Celtic’s 2-1 win against Dundee United on Saturday. Ambrose who was on duty for Nigeria last week in their failed attempt to qualify for AFCON 2015 has so far played eight league matches this season.

Ahmed Musa (CSKA MOSCOW): Nigerian winger, Ahmed Musa, replaced Pontus Wernbloom on 46 minutes in CSKA’s 2-1 loss to Kuban Krasnodar on Saturday. The 22-year-old has five goals from 14 games this season.

Austin Ejide, John Ogu (Hapoel Be’er Sheva); Harmony Ikande, Benjamin Francis (Hapoel Tel Aviv): Former Flying Eagles midfielder Harmony Ikande scored his first goal of the season for Hapoel Tel Aviv in their 3-2 win over Hapoel Be’er Sheva who paraded the duo of Austin Ejide and John Ogu from start to finish. It was Ikande’s ninth start of the campaign.

Uche Nwofor (Lierse): Super Eagles striker saw just five minites action as his team Lierse lost 2-1 away to Mouscron Peruwelz. The game which saw Nwofor replace Karim Hafez in the 85th minue, was his fourth of the campaign.

Kim Ojo (Ujpest FC): Nigerian attacker Kim Ojo scored an own-goal just five minutes into his team’s game Kecskemeti TE which they eventually lost 2-0 away. It was the former Belgium-based attacker’s second game.
Eke Uzoma (Pecsi MFC): Nigerian midfielder Eke Uzoma play all 90 minutes but couldn’t prevent his team from going down 4-0 to Nyiregyhaza Spartacus. The game was Uzoma’s 9th and he is yet to score for Pecsi.

Adeola Runsewe (Silkeborg): Nigerian attacker Adeola Runsewe was on from the beginning before making way for Jeppe Illum on 64 minutes in his team’s 1-0 away loss to Copenhagen. Runsewe has featured eight times for the Danish Superliga side.

Rabiu Ibrahim, Moses Simon, Kingsley Madu, Emmanuel Madu (Trencin): Former junior international Rabiu Ibrahim came on for Patrik Misak on 66 minutes as his side defeated visitors Senica 3-1. The game was Ibrahim’s third of the season. His Nigerian team-mate Moses Simon played 90 minutes. And it was his 18 appearance.

Bartholomew Ogbeche (Cambuur): Former Nigeria international Bartholomew Ogbeche scored his eighth goal in the Dutch league on Sunday in Cambuur’s 3-1 win over hosts Utrecht.
The former PSG striker gave his side the lead for the first time in the game in the 82nd minute to give them 2-1 lead.

Ogbeche is now the third leading scorer in Holland with eight goals. Cambuur are now third on the Dutch Eredivise league table with 20 points from 13 games.
