Nigeria and Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel goalkeeper, Austin Ejide’s agent has rubbished suggestions the stocky shot-stopper is in contract extension talks with his Liga’at Ha’al club.
It emerged over the week that both club and player are in talks to extend the Nigeria Super Eagles goalkeeper’s stay with the club that is second on the league table.
“All those are news and rumours at least for now,” Edmund Ndukanma, the player’s agent told Complete Sports from USA.
“We’ve not discussed anything with the club as regards Austin’s contract extension.
“It may be true Hapoel Be’er Sheva are interested in having Austin stay but nothing has been put on the table for discuss.
“But all the same, we can only wait to see what happens in the coming weeks, if they will bring such issue to the table”.
Ejide’s initial three years contract with the club runs out in the summer and could leave on free if talks about him staying or not was not sorted out.
