–Agent reveal Eagles keeper open to contract extension
Nigeria goalkeeper, Austin Ejide’s contract extension talks with his Israeli club, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, could be finalized next week, his agent, Stanley Ndukanma, has revealed.
“We’re still on the negotiation table. They (Hapoel Be’er Sheva) see Austi (Ejide) as a good asset; they value him so much and want him to stay”, begins the agent.
“On our part, we are not saying no because the two parties are in positive talks and I can assure you that hopefully, by next week, everything will be okay”, Ndukanma told Complete Sports from his base in the United States of America, USA.
There have been suggestions that Ejide could sign a new three-year deal with the club which finished second behind Hapoel Tel Aviv in last season’s Ligat’hal.
But his agent could not come out straight on this, stating that when both parties leave the negotiation table, a positive decision would have been reached.
“Whether it’s going to be three years or two, I cannot say for now, but fact is that they want Austin to stay and we’re trying to streamline everything.
“At the end of the day, hopefully next week, you (press) will know whether it will be two or three years that he’s going to sign”.
Ejide’s initial three-year contract with the club runs out in the coming summer with Be’er Sheva locked in a protracted talks to keep their Nigerian shot-stopper who joined up from Bastia of France after spell at Etoile Du Sahel of Tunisia.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
