Heartland forward, Bright Ejike and his Sunshine Stars counterpart, Tunde Adeniji on Sunday increased their goals haul thereby moving closer to Mfon Udoh’s all time record.
Ejike marked his return to Heartland’s starting lineup after missing the Naze Millionaires midweek encounter against El-kanemi Warriors due to injury, with a goal in their 4-0 win against Wikki Tourists.
It was the erstwhile Sharks hitman’s 11th goal of the campaign in what is fast turning out to be a memorable campaign for him and his club.
Adeniji who is virtually an unknown figure on the domestic scene prior to the start of the current campaign also increased his tally to 11 after scoring a brace in Sunshine Stars’ 2-1 win against Taraba United.
Both players now have to score 12 more goals to equal the 23 goals scored by Udoh last season, which is the highest in the history of Nigeria Professional Football League.11 BUSINESS NUGGETS FROM SUPER EAGLES BRONZE MEDAL TRIUMPH.
