–Super Sand Eagles coach boasts as team jets out Friday
Head coach of the national beach soccer team, Super Sand Eagles, Audu Ejor, has boasted his team is going to win the trophy at African Beach Soccer Championship which kicks off in Seychelles on Saturday.
Ejor based his optimism on what he described as quality and enough camping period his team has enjoyed going into the Championship.
“This is the first time we will be in camp for a long period before any competition and we are trying to make the best out of it”, he said.
“The last time we enjoyed this kind of preparation was in 2009 and we went to Durban and came back with the trophy.
“This time around, we’re not only going to Seychelles to win but also to ensure we qualify for the World Cup proper slated for Portugal.”
Coach Ejor revealed he has played enough preparatory games, stating he will name his final 12-man squad for the championship on Wednesday.
“We’ve played several friendly matches and on Wednesday we’ll play LEAD United in another friendly match and after that, the 12 players that will make the trip will be announced”, Audu Ejor added.
The Super Sand Eagles are slated to fly out on Friday to Seychelles for the championship.
