Bursaspor of Turkey defender, William Troost-Ekong, has been voted the Man-of-the-Match in Monday’s international friendly game between Nigeria and DR Congo, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw in the encounter played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Ekong who made his 19th international appearance for the Super Eagles in the encounter scored the only goal of the match in the 14th minute.
Cedric Ngulubi ensured DR Congo earned a share of the spoils in the 78th minute after converting a spot kick shortly after Ola Aina fouled Issama Mpeko in the penalty area.

The 25 year old defender made his debut for the three time African Champions in 2015 against Chad which ended 2-0 in favour of Nigeria.
Ekong is expected to keep his place in the Super Eagles starting line-up when they face England on Saturday at Wembley Stadium in another international friendly.
Nigeria will face Croatia in their first game at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia before tackling Iceland and Argentina.
