Former Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Emenike was on target for Fenerbahce in their 2-1 home win against Gaziantepspor in the Turkish league on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Emenike scored in the 22nd minute to put Fenerbahce 1-0 up before Souza scored the winning goal on 86 minutes. The goal was Emenike's second league goal in the current campaign.
Also in Turkey, Godfrey Oboabona featured for Rizespor who lost 2-1 away to Kayserispor. The Nigeria defender played for 90 minutes in the encounter.
In the Norwegian league, ifeanyi Matthew opened his goal account for Lillestroem, but it wasn't enough as they fell 2-1 at home to Sogndal. Matthew scored on 69 minutes to draw his side level after Gilbert Koor had given Sogndal the lead on 65 minutes.
And in the 72nd minute, Ole Rindaroey scored the winning goal for Sogndal.
Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong made an appearance for FK Haugesund who lost 1-0 away to IK Start.Troost-Ekong was in action for 90 minutes.
In Russia, Kehinde Fatai, was the hero for UFA as his lone strike sealed a 1-0 win against Spartak Moscow. Fatai, who was later substituted for Marcinho, scored in the 39th minute. It was his second goal in the Russian league this season.
Also in action for UFA was Sylvester Igboun who was replaced by Islamnur Abdulavov in the 90th minute.
In the Italian Serie A, Joel Obi was on from the start as Torino beat Roma 3-1. Obi however went off in the 23rd minute for Daniele Baselli.
Former Super Eagles keeper, Vincent Enyeama, was in goal for Lille, but ended on the losing side as they lost 3-1 away to Saint-Etienne.
In the Dutch Eredivisie, Taiwo Awoniyi played in NEC Nijmegen's 0-0 home draw against Willem II. Nigeria duo of Bartholomew Ogbeche and Funsho Ojo featured for Willem II.
