Emmanuel Emenike is preparing for a move to England in the summer after being racially abused by Fenerbahce fans on Sunday.
Emenike demanded to be substituted after coming in for abuse from his own supporters.
The Nigerian striker has previously been linked with Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool and reports suggest that a move is likely in light of recent events.
According to reports, Chelsea remain interested and could step up their interest in the coming months.
A source close to the player told AfricanFootball.com: “Emenike is not happy with what he is going through with the Fenerbahce fans.
“He is preparing his mind to be fit for a possible summer move.
“He has lots of options which include teams from Italy, but England looks like his next destination.”
Emenike is said to be visiting London during the international break after not being considered for Nigeria’s international friendlies against Uganda and South Africa.
