–Blames Turkish Federation for ban

Nigerian forward Emmanuel Emenike believes the Turkish Football Federation will regret Fenerbahce’s absence from this season UEFA Champions League competiton.
The current Turkish champions are serving a two year ban after club officials were judged to have helped fix matches in order to win the 2011 Super Lig title.
Emenike took to his twitter account to vent his anger for missing out on featuring in Europe’s elites competition despite the preparedness of the team.
“Team is well prepared for the season! The Turkish Football Federation will regret that Fenerbahce will not play in the Champions League!” he tweeted via his handle @EmEmenike29.
The 27 year old burly forward who has been listed for next month’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against the Red Devils of Congo and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana is already looking forward to the start of he new season in Turkey and is hoping to score more goals for Fenerbahce.
“Last season was great for me, though I started scoring goals late I was able to score 13 goals and that contributed to us winning the league,” he said.
