English FA Fine Chelsea £100K,  Man City £35K For Breach Of Rules


Chelsea and Manchester City have been handed fines over the bust-up between both clubs in last month's clash at the Ethiad Stadium, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Chelsea were handed a £100,000 fine while Manchester City were fined £35,000 according to a report on the English Premier League website.

The English FA charged both clubs for  failing to control their players after a melee late on in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Manchester City on the 3rd of November.

The duo of Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho were sent off during the encounter for their misconduct in the game.

"Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, Manchester City and Chelsea have been fined £35,000 and £100,000 respectively after both admitted a breach of FA Rule E20(a),"  statement on the official website stated.

"The two clubs were charged for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour."

"It followed an incident in the 95th minute of their game on Saturday 3 December 2016."
