Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama arrived in Uyo late last night with police escort ahead of today’s international friendly against the Cranes of Uganda at the Akwa Ibom stadium.
The Lille Metropole goalie arrived in Port Harcourt yesterday afternoon and travelled by road to Uyo after he could not get a seat on board to Akwa Ibom.
Enyeama, who will be winning his landmark 100th senior cap for the country at the match, and also in front of his own people in Uyo Township, will be facing off against the Cranes for the first time.
The 32-year-old was an unused substitute when Nigeria faced Uganda in the qualifying rounds for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.
Meanwhile, coach Daniel Amokachi has served a hint that he will still be considered for a place in the squad to face Uganda on Wednesday despite his lateness to camp.
