Former Super Eagles skipper, Vincent Enyeama celebrated his 100th Ligue 1 game in the colours of Lille in Sunday's 1-0 win over nine man Olympique Lyonnais at the Stade Pierre Mauroy, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Enyeama marked his personal landmarkwith his 10th clean sheet of the season.
Enyeama who has also surpassed the feat with the senior national team before he sensationally called it quits last year took to Instagram to thank his teammates, his coaches, medical staff and Lille's esteemed fans, for their support.
He pleaded with the Ligue 1 referees to stop issuing him unwarranted cards after he was booked for the sixth time in his fifth season at the club.
"We keep counting," Referees please stop giving me cards."Thanks to my SUPER God, family, my friends, my teammates. coaching staff, medicals, fans and supporters. Thank you," Enyeama wrote via his handle vinny2908.
The former Hapoel Tel-Aviv,Maccabi Tel-Aviv shot stopper has conceded 17 goals in 24 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille this term.
Recall that in 2013, Enyeama came within 114 minutes of equaling Bordeaux Gaëtan Huard's Ligue 1 goalkeeping record, set in 1993, of playing 1,176 minutes without conceding a goal.
