By Johnny Edward:

Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama celebrated his 33rd birthday on Sunday with his third clean sheet of the Ligue 1 campaign in Lille’s 1-0 win at home to GFC Ajaccio.

Enyeama, who made a string of brilliant saves, has conceded only one goal in four games for the Les Dogues.

In Slovenia, Blessing Eleke ended his two-game goal drought by scoring his third brace of the season in league for Nova Gorica who maintained top spot on the log.

The former Flying Sports Academy player scored in both halves to see off Koper 3-1 at the ŠRC Bonifika stadium, taking his tally to seven goals.

Eleke shot his side into the lead in the 32nd minute before making it 3-0 for Gorica in the 84th minute for his side’s seventh win of the season.

His first brace this season was in his third game of the season against Zavrč and he followed it up with another the following weekend in Gorica’s 3-2 win over Domžale.

Next up for Gorica is a home clash against Maribor on Friday.

In Russia, Super Eagles returnee, Lukman Haruna, returned to action from suspension to power Anzhi Makhachkala to their first win of the season away to Spartak Moscow. Haruna has made five appearances in the Russian league and scored once. He was replaced by Ivan Maewski at half time.
