–Saves two penalties to steer club to next round of cup
Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama helped his French side Lille advance to the quarter-finals of the League Cup on Wednesday, saving two penalties as they defeated Bordeaux 6-5 on penalties after the match ended 1-1.
The Nigerian international, who is in the running for the GLO/CAF African Footballer of the Year award converted his spot-kick in the nervy win, also urged his teammates not to be complacent ahead of their next Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique Marseille.
“Before our next game in the competition against Nantes at home, we must focus on the Ligue 1 game against Marseille. We want to build on our last two performances, and move up the table,” he began.
“I want to give my very best in every competition in which I participate in and help win all our games. Nantes is a quality team and they are ahead of us on the log. So we must take them seriously but playing at home is always an advantage, especially because I will not have to fly (laughs).”
The 32-year-old shot stopper has kept seven clean sheets this season conceding 15 goals in 17 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season.

Enyeama is underreported just because he is black and also not playing for a european country.
I bet if Sterling of liverpool is from peru or kenya the european press will not be shouting his name
