Enyeama: Win Or Lose, Naija Forever; Better Days Will Come For Super Eagles

By Johnny Edward:

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has hailed the team and urged Gernot Rohr to build for better days after their heartbreaking exit from the Russia 2018 World Cup, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Nigeria were dumped out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after they lost 2-1 to Argentina in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday.

Marcos Rojo bagged the winner four minutes from time. Lionel Messi had handed Argentina the lead in the 14th minute before Victor Moses equalised for the Super Eagles from the penalty.

“Naija forever. Win or lose. Qualify or eliminated.#WeAreNigeria we build for better days,” Enyeama tweeted after the game.

The defeat was the fifth time Nigeria will lose to Argentina at the World Cup.

Nigeria finished third in Group D with three points, one adrift of Argentina who nicked second spot with the victory.

Thank u Mr. Rohr for the job u have done, but it is time to go!

We need a more passionate coach with some self belief, not one that keeps complaining that he has a young team that will be ready to take on the world in 2022.

As for u Pinnick, u hav to look out for a new coach if you want to keep your job. The vultures will be calling for your head now, so do the right thing!

I concur with Enyeama the couch has  been saying is buildings a new team for 2022 world cup so Naija  don’t  need  to be worried. However  Naija is watching to see how this  same couch  will qualify us to 2019 AFCON with this same mentality that is building  a team as if the country lack players.

      The coach absolutely tried.
      He is going nowhere.
He has built a team for the next ten years. Our group was actually a group of death.
I tagged it. The match of blood. You saw macharano.
So it’s France vs Argentina. One must go.
The group wasn’t really a good group.
      The boys tried.

  • it was a competition which lead to win or you lose nigeria play ed very well which we fan did not not even expected .i think the coach should continue this work ,nigeria is not the only team that exit on russia 2018

  • @Bomboy I hope after he is gone you will be d one to coach d team? If a country like Egypt in that kind of group they were could lost all d 3 matches and still retain their coach. pls take a clue from that and be guided so as to stop this your ranting of coach must go cos this man did his best. You re not d only one disappointed bro.

    • Tayo, leave Bomboy alone, he has a point. Plus, he is a nice guy and a valuable contributor whose intentions for Nigeria are good.

  • We need Vincent if we would want to reach some where in the next world cup
