AS Monaco left-back Elderson Echiejile has hailed national team-mate and Lille goal keeper Vincent Enyeama after he was voted best keeper for 2014 in Ligue 1 by French newspaper L’Equipe.
Last year, Enyeama who has featured in every 56 league matches Lille has played since his return from his loan spell from Maccabi Tel Aviv, was also voted the best shot stopper in the French top flight.
Reacting to the award, Echiejile expressed optimism that more awards will come the way of the 2014 FIFA World Cup star.
Echiejile wrote on his Twitter page: “Congrats to Vincent Enyeama on winning the League one keeper of the year. #MoreToCome”
Lille are 13th on the league table with 21 points and will take on Evian at home in their next game on Wednesday.
